ring slip

well, things are moving right along with wedding planning. the Lord keeps providing in unexpected ways! we have a date set, a venue in place, & a photographer booked. woohoo!

i haven't been able to take very many pictures with my fancy camera, but one thing i noticed in some of my iphone photos is that my ring keeps making special appearances. i guess it's just an engagement thing. =) today i finally pulled out my dslr to purposefully take some ring photos so here's the grand collection.

and just another sidenote observation: hands (well, at least my hands) are the most awkward things to take pictures of!
plus, cold weather = extra pruney hands

so, i saw this idea on pinterest that used these monogrammed anthropologie mugs as wedding decor. i really liked it, but anthro mugs are kinda pricey so we decided to DIY those mugs. yesterday, i went to salvation army & found one of the exact same anthropologie mugs with the letter of my future last name for 69 cents!!! of course i celebrated by taking pictures.
this is another pinterest idea (can you tell what i am constantly doing?) that has been circulating for what seems like years, but i think it's so cute.
confetti always makes for fun pictures!
the night we got engaged!
it's super fun to be engaged at the same time as a dear friend! i put this pic on facebook & mentioned that we could cross finding the perfect veil off our to-do list. TOTAL JOKE! i forget sarcasm doesn't always read well through text. haha. a few people thought we were serious, but neither one of us are planning a dolly parton themed matter how fun that would be. =)
we took a couple ring pictures that day.
i mentioned we set the date. here's a little hint....

that's a sufficient amount of ring slip pictures for now. hoping to document some wedding planning details within the next couple of months. we'll see what happens!

and now for an update

well, it's been a 42 day blog break, but i'm back with exciting news...

i think that accurately explains my silence. =)
although there's much i can say (and maybe one day i'll write the whole story out here) the main truth is -
God moves in mysterious ways.
unexpected ways.
miraculous ways.
unforeseen ways.
marvelous ways.

HIS timing is always perfect. =)

"You have multiplied, O LORD my God, your wondrous deeds and your thoughts toward us; none can compare with you! I will proclaim and tell of them, yet they are more than can be told." ~ Psalm 40:5
